I found the Grand Hotel Viljandi to be a decent choice for a weekend getaway. The rooms were cozy and had the essentials needed, but the lack of air conditioning was a downside, especially with the early summer sun. The breakfast buffet left much to be desired, but the hotel's prime location near historical sites made it easy to explore. Ultimately, it offers reasonable value for the cost, especially if you're looking for a convenient base to enjoy Viljandi.
